A fully restored 1964 series 2a Land Rover. The engine and gearbox were completely rebuilt/re machined by South Cerney engineering, (a Rolls Royce accredited engineering firm). A fully restored 1964 series 2a Land Rover. The engine and gearbox were completely rebuilt/re machined by South Cerney engineering, (a Rolls Royce accredited engineering firm). The gearbox has had a rebuilt Fairey overdrive fitted, as well as Fairey freewheel hubs on the front axel. The suspension is has been upgraded to parabolic springs and shocks. The engine is running on a 123 digital ignition and a Weber Carburettor. When it was being rebuilt, hardened valve seats were installed so it can run on unleaded petrol. It’s been sat on a galvanised chassis with a galvanised bulkhead. The bodywork was stripped back to bare metal and all salvageable panels were saved. The paintwork was done by Cotswold Classic Cars with an original paint code, (LC6). The dials have been refurbished and colour matched to the wheels. The interior trim is all either Exmoor Trim and Lucari Designs. The wiring is a brand new loom from Autosparks and all lights are genuine Lucas lights with glass lenses. It’s historic vehicle so it’s MOT and Tax exempt. I’m having to sell it as I’ve relocated to Scotland and it’s sitting in my mother’s garage in the Cotswolds Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions.
