I purchased this in 2017 and fully stripped and rebuilt it over the following 2/3 years

There is a huge amount of work done over the years and i will be very sad to see her go.
Galvanised parts:
chassis
tub cappings
corner cappings
tub brackets
bulkhead
inner wheel arches
shock turrets
door sills
rock sliders
bulkhead brackets.
Discovery 200 tdi engine: 2024 work; recently had new head gasket, +associated gaskets, cam belt kit, new HD clutch, refurbished injectors.
Rear axle has a solid diff pan fitted, diff guard on front axle, steering guard, heavy duty front bumper. Rear dislocation cones. Galvanised rock sliders.
Axles, trailing arms, A frame, bumper, propshafts, heater box, pedal box, radiator surround, tie rods, steering column, power steering box, washer bottle brackets, wing brackets, radiator support brackets, callipers, battery box all stripped back and painted black.

•New fuel tank
•New bushings throughtout
•New springs and shocks (standard height, ignore the blue springs they never ended up being fitted in the end)
•New radiator
•New galv doors & sliding doors tops
•All new door locks
•New wind screen and rubber
•New quarter windows + rubbers
•New door seals
•New brake master cylinder
•New clutch slave cylinder
•All new brake lines with stainless braided hoses
•New brake callpers front, rear callipers rebuilt.
•New header tank
•New flap vent seals
•New harmonic balancer
•New washer bottle
•Double washer jet conversion
•New door hindges front
•New glazed rear door included in the sale
•New UJ’s x 4
•New handbrake shoes and mechanisms
•New NS stub axle and wheel bearing front
•New axle oil seals
•New battery
•New swivel seals + swivel grease
•Diesel cabin heater installed
•New rivets on cappings and door locks (unpainted, looks the part)
•New electic fan
Just turned 40 years old, so MOT exempt. Will be tax exempt as of April 2026. and with this status it also becomes ULEZ exempt if that is any use to you. very cheap to insure, my last years insurance was £250 agreed value policy of 13k
I have probably missed a few bits to be entirely honest 🤣🤣 too much to try and remember. Starts runs and drive very nicely.
Issues:
Rear quarter is damaged, accidentally reversed into a tree on a camping trip. Some filler has come out of a hole I filled in middle of bonnet, same on the drivers side wing. Seat is torn. Power steering box leaking. Half shafts splines are worn, this causes to clunk, but once you adapt your driving style and be a bit sympathetic, you can drive it with no clunk’s. Startor motor needs replacing, it goes click click click alot. Paintwork has scuffs and scratches from branches, they will buff out. Exhaust is rusty. Fuel gauage doesn’t work, needs a new sender. Roof rack is missing x2 fastners. Intercooler could do with being replaced, it’s clogged. has the common water leak that goes down your right leg. the two small UJ’s on the steering column need replacing.
Bits to finish:
Comes with a new glazed rear door that needs painting, the interior could do with some cosmetic work. I have added some sound deadening, and that’s as far as I got with Interiror. Ideally, Needs Seat box matting, bulkhead matting / rubber, ply lining on sides, and a roof liner. Rad fan is on a switch, needs a thermo switch and relay adding.
The hard jobs have been done. you could go two directions with this vehicle, tart it up and have it looking show room, this really wouldnt take much, as when it was restored it was practically show room. (see pics without roof rack)
or you could enjoy it as it is, (the option i chose) with the peace of mind that it has had alot of new parts and galvanised to the back teeth so will never have any rust issue.
